Certification MarksIntertek's certification marks all have a long history and they are well-known all over the world. In addition to our proprietary marks, we can also offer a wide range of local certification marks through our many agreements with certification bodies.
ETL Listed Mark The ETL Listed Mark is evidence of compliance to US and Canadian national standards such as ANSI, CSA, CGA, IEC and UL for electrical, medical-technical, gas-fired and oil-fired products. ETL certification also includes the North American requirement for follow-up inspections at the factory.

Since 1926 the S mark has been a symbol of safety - first in Sweden but later also in many other markets around the world. S stands for safety in just about every major European language: Safety, Sicherheit, Seguridad, just to name a few. The S mark is evidence that a product has been tested and approved by Intertek as meeting minimum requirements of prescribed and harmonized European Union standards.

| | GS Mark An electrical, mechanical or electro-mechanical product bearing the GS mark indicates that it has been tested and complies with the minimum requirements of the German Device Safety Act (a.k.a., GSG). The GS mark is a licensed mark of the German government, which may only be issued by an accredited product safety testing and certification agency, such as Intertek is authorized to issue the GS mark. A GS mark issued by Intertek will carry the "ITS" corporate identifier in the upper left-hand corner of the mark.

The mark is found on food treating equipment to secure the health and safety of consumers. The ETL Sanitation mark includes exactly the same sanitation testing as other organisations, such as NSF. What seperates the organisations is that Intertek, in addition to verifying the sanitation properties of the product, can also check whether it meets other safety aspects, such as electrical safety.
Why should I mark my products with the ETL Sanitation Mark?
